Protools 6

According to a Digidesign source, Protools 6 should be available in end of November, on Mac OS X. Protools LE versions would appear later.
An OS 9 version was NOT mentioned!!!
This version should support HD systems, but older hardwares were also NOT mentioned!!!
The 6 version should add the following features:
- a new archive/backup feature allows to define all the local disk as well as all the network connected disks to become audio disks, archive disks or storage disks. Protools will use this to backup in the background and manage archives easely.
- A new "sherlock-like" find function will greatly improve the audio files management: Folders and sub-folder sorting will be possible. Names databases of the major sound FX collections (Sound Ideas was mentionned) would be included.
- A multi-user management would be added.
- The look has been seriously enhanced.
- The Beat Detective also get some improvements.
- The MIDI functions have been revisited (nevertheless no score view)
We strongly hope that the OS9 no-support and Mix Cards no-support is a false information. We will soon know more about it...
