Monday November 24, 2008. 04:15 PM, by Nantho Audio Hardware > Danfield Audio
Audio Hardware : Danfield monitor2 and monitor2 remote - macmusicDanfield Audio unveils a new monitor controller and its remote called monitor2 and monitor2 remote respectively.

monitor2 features :

- 7 balanced inputs and outputs, with adjustable gain trim and status indication.
- 2 independent cue buses with TB level control and cue - dim level adjustment.
- Isolate button allows cue bus to be floated from the monitor buses so independent monitoring set-ups can be created for the control room and ––studio-areas.
- Adjustable second reference monitor level and studio master dim levels.
- Meter follow monitor allows external meter to follow EXT inputs or monitor outputs.
- AutoCue system allows dynamic control of the studio talkback when recording. Cuts when tracking and in play – TBk switches on when recorder has stopped.
- Balanced Ins and Outs connected via 25 way D-subs compatible with the Digidesign 25 way pin out logic.
- Dedicated XLR meter outputs.
- Selectable external Talkback TRS input. Select between remote control microphone and user definable external microphone.
- Dedicated direct and switched TRS Talkback feeds.

monitor2 remote features :

- EXT inputs (I, II,III,IV and V). These can be summed or individually selected.
- 5 Monitor outputs. These can be individually or simultaneously selected: m1 - 3 dedicated to be used in Control room. s1 - s2 can be Floated to be used for Studio recording applications.
- TBk switches. Fed directly to the cue buses 1 & 2. This Cue bus selectivity gives the engineer in-line console functionality in a small table top monitor controller.
- Studio level control. Big controller - with lots and lots (and lots) of headroom.
- Monitor CUT DIM and individual LR CUTs.
- REF2: Switches monitor level to an adjusted second reference level. This is a great 'ear saver' for long sessions – and when mixing to specific second calibrated room references – for example switching between a music tracking session and a mix job for a TV spot.
- DIFF: allows the difference in the LR stereo image to be monitored.
- AutoCue: Enables automatic TBk control when tracking.
- PFL: Allows PFL external input to be redirected to the cue bus.
- EXT: Allows external inputs to be redirected to the cue bus.
- A built in talkback microphone.
- The Remote control unit connects to processor via one 3M 0.050 cable – in 5m (standard length). Cable also available as 10m to 50m custom options. Custom prices are POA.
- Cable connector can be mounted at back of unit or at the bottom of the unit if it is mounted in a table – so the control cable can be hidden from view.
