Edirol announced Mac OS X audio driver support for Edirol USB Audio products at the Frankfurt Music Messe. The driver supports Mac OS X "Core Audio" technology so that users can use a variety of audio application software as well as the standard Mac applications such as "iTunes" or iMovie". In addition you can enjoy Multiclient ability that allows multiple applications to be used at the same time.
Edirol demonstrated the audio driver using the Edirol UA-5 USB Audio product. The driver supports 24 bit/44.1kHz, 48kHz, 96kHz audio data with stability and low latency. In addition you can directly and instantly manage various functions such as direct monitoring, level controls, phantom power, etc on the front panel of the UA-5 without having to rely solely on software. Edirol audio products offer features to meet a range of needs, from the hobbyist to the demanding musician and recording studio.
Edirol MIDI products have supported Mac OS X since January 2002. By adding the Audio driver support, many Edirol products are compatible with Mac OS X.
