Massenburg Hi-Res Parametric EQ plug-in for Protools HD

Wednesday April 9, 2003. 12:19 PM, by Francois Déchery Plug-ins > Digidesign
Plug-ins : Massenburg Hi-Res Parametric EQ plug-in for Protools HD - macmusicDigidesign announced the release of the Hi-Resolution Parametric EQ plug-in for Pro Tools|HD created by acclaimed audio expert George Massenburg of Massenburg DesignWorks (MDW).

As a result of countless hours of critical listening and design by George Massenburg, one of the industry's foremost authorities, the MDW Hi-Resolution EQ provides Pro Tools users with a high-end EQ plug-in solution.

This groundbreaking plug-in boasts unprecedented clarity, superlative smoothness, and excellent high frequency response, all the result of Double Precision 48-bit processing and high-resolution 96 kHz sampling rate processing. With Double Precision 48-bit processing, the audio is processed with optimal precision resulting in less noise, increased headroom, fewer artifacts, and wider dynamic range. Even when working in sessions set to 44.1 or 48 kHz, the MDW EQ processes the audio at 88.2 and 96 kHz, respectively. The result is high-resolution audio, fewer artifacts, and more predictable filter curves.

In addition, the plug-in emulates the GML 8200?s constant shape reciprocal filter curves, considered to be the industry standard reference for filter curves.

The MDW Hi-Resolution Parametric EQ highlights include:

- Double Precision 48-bit processing
- High-resolution 96 kHz sampling rate processing
- Emulates the GML 8200's constant shape reciprocal filter curves
- Selectable bands
- Wide frequency selection from 10 Hz to 41 kHz
- Professional interface design for speed and accuracy

This plug-in requires an iLok Smart Key for plug-in authorisation, and is available for Digidesign-approved Macintosh computers running Pro Tools HD and Pro Tools 5.3.1 or newer software on Mac OS 9.x and OS X.
