For those who are experiencing troubles with PT6, some hope can be found on the DUC this week, straight from the horse's mouth:

"Hello,
We have seen some issues with Midi controllers in 6.0. These issues have been addressed in 6.01 which is due out in a week or so. We have also seen some issues with recalling patch assignments. We are currently looking into the problem".
