Edirol released several new control maps for their PCR line of keyboards. These include:
- Propellerheads Rebirth (www.propellerheads.se/)
- Audio Simulations Dream Station (www.audio-simulation.de )
- Audionerdz Delay Lama (audionerdz.com)
- Roland XV-5080 (rolandus.com)
This adds to the impressive list of 50+ freely downloadable control maps for a variety of software applications.
Control maps allow you to quickly configure all the buttons, knobs and faders on your PCR to easily control your software application. Each control map has a parameter list that illustrates the message each control sends. This is particularly useful for those PCR users who want to customize their setup.
A Control Map is simply a pre-configured MIDI file containing a SysEx message to assign the various knobs, sliders, buttons, & pedals of the PCR to particular MIDI messages. This information can be saved within one of the 16 internal memory locations of the PCR, or implemented into the beginning of a MIDI file to recall the appropriate control map automatically when the file is loaded.
PCR users are welcomed to contribute to the growing PCR control map library by emailing their own configurations along with a detailed description to info@edirol.com.
Edirol's PCR-50 (49-key) and PCR-30 (32-key) USB MIDI Keyboard Controllers are keyboards featuring compelling programmable control functions for users of software Sequencers, Synthesizers, and hardware Sound Modules.
