We need more Looperlative

Saturday January 28, 2006. 11:31 AM, by lepetitmartien NAMM06 > Audio Hardware
Audio Hardware : We need more Looperlative - macmusicLooperlative LP1 is a 1U rack for loop addicts. It allows 8 stereo loop tracks simultaneously, each synchronised or not, with independent volume and feedback control. One stereo input, 3 stereo outputs (all: unbalanced TRS, maximum signal level +7 dBu, input impedance 20 kOhms, output impedance less than 100 Ohms, balanced i/o may be possible later thru a factory update).

A/D is done at a 6MHz sampling rate to end with a 24 bits/48 KHz signal (44.1 to 192 KHz may be possible later thru software update). The DSP itself uses 32 bits words so quality should be there. There is no Digital I/O, though streaming of digital audio thru Ethernet may be possible (it's primarily intended for edition/saves). Basic operations on the LP1 are record, play, stop, overdub, reverse (at any time during playback). It's MIDI all over and along the buttons on the front panel, 4 are user defined.

The LP1 is powered from an AC adapter (and apologise for it) but any feature you want you can express about it in Looperlative forum, Bob Armstadt the designer will be happy to talk about and eventually include it. A lot is already in store for future updates. You can order it for $1199 directly (see their forum for details, the first batch of 25 is on the make).
