Sonomic Announces PT 6 and OS X support for TLS

Friday January 17, 2003. 01:21 AM, by ptilou Music Software
Music Software : Sonomic Announces PT 6 and OS X support for TLS - macmusicSonomic, the premier provider of sound library management solutions, today announced that its Total Library Server (TLS) now supports Digidesign's Pro Tools 6.0 and Apple's new OS X operating system.

The Total Library Server allows any engineer to instantly search for, audition, and import to Pro Tools any sound in their studio's library. If the TLS doesn't have the sounds that are needed, it will automatically query and download from the 200,000 sound (and growing) Sonomic Online Library, featuring Sound Ideas, the BBC, Serafine, ZeroG, Q Up Arts, Valentino, and many other top libraries. Waveform overviews, region selection, taglists, quickeys, and a host of other features save even more time and let engineers stay focused on creating instead of searching. The TLS can be accessed through any networked workstation using the TLS Client Software. The new v2.7 Client is fully compatible with OS X, so users take full advantage of new features present in Pro Tools 6.0 and enabled by Apple's new operating system.

The TLS starts at USD $7,995 and comes with the following:

* Server: 2.2 GHz Pentium 4 processor, 1 GB RAM
* Sonomic Sound Engine : Search your TLS with the fastest and most powerful media search algorithm available - pinpoint accuracy and instant access
* TLS Client v2.7: Import sounds directly into Pro Tools and most other audio/video software, view waveforms and select region, create custom taglists
* Unlimited Access to the 200,000 sound (and growing) Sonomic Online Library for one year, featuring Sound Ideas, BBC, Zero-G and more: update your library automatically - never buy another CD
