Music Software : New Ethnic Sounds for Mac Software Samplers - macmusicModernBeats.com has expanded its downloadable library of HipHop soundware with a new ethnic percussion collection titled "Ethnic HipHop 2 - Tha Percussion". The collection is sold as a multi-format product for all major software samplers. Native formats inlcude HALion, EXS24, Kontakt, Battery, Reason's NN-XT, SF2, and .Wav. Like all ModernBeats' soundware, the ethnic collection is available for instant download or can be shipped on a ModernBeats multi-format CD-ROM.

This multi-format collection contains over 500 ethnic percussion samples from 21 high-quality percussion instruments: Agogo Bell, Berimbau, Cabasa, Cajon, Chaker, Chime, Congas, Cowbell Clave, Djembe, Doumbek, Gankogui, Guiro, NuBellTree, Pandeiro, Rainstick, SleighBell, TalkingDrum, Timbale, Tombek, Triangle, and the Udu. The set features accurately recorded percussion samples, including subtle nuances of sound along with core samples. Each instrument is multi-sampled by an average of 25 samples per preset. All percussion samples are laid out across the keyboard according to specific timbres where users can easily create realistic percussion performances by simply playing samples in a chromatic order.

All percussion samples were created from original recordings of virtuoso percussionists using world class microphones and pristine Class A mic preamps. The software sampler presets were programmed by ModernBeats sound designers whose credits include MTV, Sony, Universal, Interscope, Jive, Motown, Cash Money Records, and others.

"Ethnic HipHop 2 - Tha Percussion" is available for download for $44.95, or can be ordered on CD-ROM.
