KV331 Audio has announced the release of Rob Lee EDM Expansion Pack 5, a new soundset for their SynthMaster software synthesizer geared towards electronic dance music production.

The preset bank contains 50 new presets designed by Rob Lee, in the following categories:

- 5 Arps.
- 13 Basses.
- 1 Chord.
- 6 Leads.
- 17 Pads.
- 8 Synths.

Registered users of SynthMaster can purchase the expansion pack for $15.

Developed by a team of composers, sound designers and programmers, Cinematic Tension FX is an experiment in sound design and forms the foundation for a much larger forthcoming library based around tempo-synced morphing technology.

The morphing function allows 2 sounds to be simultaneously played and blended together. So, for example, a vocal chant can be combined with a flute to create interesting sonic textures that evolve and blend over time. Each sound can be manipulated and then saved as a Preset. Presets can be recalled instantly using dynamic keyswitching and then 'morphed' together using the modwheel.

What else is new in this update?
Retrieve your mixes from a computer : plug your iDevice to your computer, open iTunes and go to the "Apps" tab. Hit "CrossDJ" to access your mix list.

Sonnox has released the Oxford Limiter plug-in for Avid’s AAX format – . Sonnox Sales & Marketing Manager, Nathan Eames reports, “The demand for AAX plug-ins has been growing exponentially, as the Pro Tools HDX user base expands. Our design group continues to work diligently on developing 64-bit AAX versions for the forthcoming Pro Tools 11.
