The ODD Reason ReFill from Sounds And Effects samples a vintage ARP Odyssey, but then takes a decidedly non vintage turn, using these samples as the basis for entirely new sounds using Reason's powerful synth engine for a more modern and decidedly non vintage sound. Pitch dives and rises, bass wobbles, zaps, warbles, bleeps, trills, sub basses and buzzy squelchy leads.
There are also three different default Combinator / Vocoder presets pre wired so that the user can easily choose from any of the 200 NNXT Presets, and simply plug them any into the Vocoders' carrier and modulator inputs - potentially and rapidly creating hundreds of exciting new sounds.

MeterPlugs today announced that its audio plugins are now compatible with Pro Tools. The plugins, K-Meter and LCAST Loudness Meter, were previously available in Audio Unit and VST 2.4 formats for Mac and Windows. Now users can download AAX versions of the plugins for use with Pro Tools 10.3.6 or greater. The update is free for existing users.
K-Meter and LCAST help you take loudness and true-peak measurements. K-Meter is built around Bob Katz's K-System, an integrated metering and monitoring system that helps you target commonly used loudness levels in a variety of genres. It stands in opposition to the hyper-compressed recordings of the loudness wars era. Instead of focusing on maximizing peak levels, K-Meter places emphasis on dynamic range and sensible loudness levels.
LCAST helps you ensure that your audio is broadcast-ready. It is aimed at content creators who need to comply with precise loudness and peak level requirements. It includes presets for North American broadcasters (ATSC A/85), European broadcasters (EBU R128) and more. LCAST features a graphical history view of integrated, short-term and momentary loudness levels. You can pan and zoom the view to isolate areas of interest and make comparisons.
Pricing and Availability
Both plugins are available for Mac and Windows in 32/64-bit Audio Unit, VST 2.4 and AAX formats. K-Meter sells for 49 USD, LCAST Stereo for 199 and LCAST Surround for 399.

Alta Moda Audio releases the AM-30
Fully discrete microphone preamplifier in 500 series format
Hilo Hawaii – February 10 2014 – Professional audio equipment manufacturer Alta Moda Audio today debuted the AM-30, its first ever microphone preamplifier and the latest product in Alta Moda's expanding range of popular 500-series rack products.
The Alta Moda AM-30 is a fully discrete, class A transformer-less design unlike any other preamp on the market. Clean at lower settings, the AM-30 can be pushed and smoothly over-driven where other preamps would harshly clip. The AM-30's high headroom and DI input make it ideal to warm up previously recorded tracks or loops. Made in the USA, the AM-30 has a MSRP of $499 USD.
Alta Moda makes the highly acclaimed Unicomp all-discrete stereo compressor/limiter as well as a line of quality, high-performance modules for 500-series compatible rack enclosures.
