The PolyKB II is a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer based on two waveform morphing, aliasing free oscillators and a self oscillating 4 poles low pass filter. The amazing oscillators take a large part of the sound of this synthesizer while the filter recreating a standard analog chip of the 80's (with the help of very complete modulation sections), allows the PolyKB II to create incredibly warm sounds from gorgeous basses to slowly evolving pads, through aggressive leads and thin crystal keyboards as well as a huge range of incredible special effects that all sound designers will love to use...

Sonic Timeworks has announced the release of the remade Equalizer V1 plug-in, now available for Windows VST 2.4 32- and 64-bit, Mac OS X VST 2.4 32-bit and Mac OS X AU 32- and 64-bit. There is an introductory offer of $99 until January 15th, 2011, and current DirectX customers can upgrade for $39. A fully functional 14-day demo is available.
Equalizer V1 is a remake of the classic Sonic Timeworks plug-in from around the beginning of this millennia, offering a unique analogue-ish design. Unlike most other digital eq's the frequency response does not go towards zero dB when approaching half the sample rate ("Vintage" algorithm only). This is achieved without the use of oversampling.
Equalizer V1 has two algorithms, six bands (two of which are switchable between shelf and bell curves), a low-cut, and a high-cut filter. The interface is divided into two pages, the first having all the controls in a classic setup with sliders, and the second having an EQ response curve laid on top of a frequency analyzer.

PreSonus has released the first dedicated wireless control software for a small-format digital console: StudioLive Remote software for the Apple iPadŽ. At last, you can have wireless remote control of any PreSonus StudioLive-series digital mixer's channels, auxes, effects, subs, Fat Channel processors, and more. Not only can these functions be controlled from anywhere in a venue by the front-of-house sound person, but custom aux mixes can be simultaneously adjusted by any performer with an iPad.

With 140 audio loops in three different formats (that's 420 audio files) and the full MIDI sequences, you can arrange, re-arrange, remix and replace any instrument with any virtual instrument that your DAW provides. Just drag and drop the MIDI files for each arrangement into a midi track in your DAW (Ableton, Logic, Cubase, Reason etc) and you'll see the raw midi sequences ready for you to play with. Not interested in MIDI? That's OK, just drag the audio loops on to your audio tracks and start putting together your arrangement. We even included fully mixed audio examples of what you can do when you put it all together. Tempos range from 91 bpm to 132 bpm.
