While every note was played by a well-rehearsed ensemble of four brass players, each instrument was recorded separately, which allows you to access each voice individually. Still, they sound like an ensemble and not like four soloists, whether playing in unison, divisi, or even in four-part harmonies.

The TH100 has exactly the same controls and pre-amp section as its smaller sibling TH30, but when running in class AB1 (half power) it makes 35 watts on two output tubes and 70 watts on four output tubes. Put it to full power (AB2 position) and the amp makes 50 watts with two output tubes and 100 watts with four. Being able to switch to half power means you can reduce the listening volume while preserving the power tube distortion.

The new head will come with four EL34 tubes, four 12AX7 pre-amp tubes and a 12AT7 for the low impedance FX loop.

The EM-EQ2 is a dual-mono equalizer housed in a rugged, all-metal 2U chassis. Sonically nodding to the classic Pultec EQP-1A sound, the EM-EQ2 utilizes the same discrete Class AB amplifier found in A-Designs' popular solid-state EM-PEQ and Pacifica mic pres, putting a slightly unique twist on the classic filter design of yesteryear.

That aside, the EM-EQ2 faithfully preserves the EQ section design, control layout and wonderfully smooth musicality of the original Pultec unit.
