P4 DMS compressor is a new hardware compressor from FCS (Foote Control Systems). DMS stands for Dual Mono / Stereo and it is linked using true power summing.

It offers similar smooth control that FCS processors are known for, but is a departure from what they have done before.

This compressor has a definate sound of it's own. The audio path is a new design that uses transformer balancing on inputs and outputs and a discrete op amp in the output stages. As a matter of fact, the whole path is discrete except for the 8 top grade VCAs. 4 VCAs are used per channel to optimize noise and headroom performance. The VCA topology is based on an updated version of the dbx 202 design.
