Music Software : ReBirth is back on iPhone and iPod Touch - macmusicAn old friend returns. Propellerhead Software's legendary Techno Micro Composer has been resurrected and made available for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch.

ReBirth faithfully emulates dance music's three backbone devices: The Roland TB-303 Bass synth and the Roland TR-808 and 909 drum machines. Combine these with FX units, fully featured pattern sequencers and a quick-acting, scalable iPhone interface and you'll soon be making techno on the train, trance on the tram or beats on the bus.

May 1 - 10:47 AM, by 9 Soundware Misc > 9 Soundware
Misc : 9 Soundware releases Full Metal Racket R NN-XT Patches - macmusicFull Metal Racket R by 9 Soundware is a set of patches for the NN-XT sampler within Propellerhead Reason. The theme of the sound set is distortions. Its origins are in five previously released 9 Soundware titles. The instruments are based on select samples from the Thrash, 666, Discord, and Error EXS24 sound sets, and the Mixer Feedback WAV collection.

Thrash (Instruments of face melting aggression.)
The theme behind Thrash is HEADROOM DECIMATING AUDIO. Extreme waveforms were created with one goal and one goal only: To see how gut-wrenchingly jarring and intense sound could be. These eardrum-bashing anomalies are not metalhead-friendly sounds. They are not even sound system-friendly sounds. The 30 instruments in this category are based on 75 samples. The source sounds for the samples include performed noise, synthesis, mixer feedback, screaming, and a drum machine.
