The goal in developing this plug-in is to provide a simple compressor that offers an exceptionally musical sound while requiring a minimum of tweaking. This plug-in is not based on any specific hardware, rather it is inspired by vintage circuits and is designed to emulate some favorite characteristics of such compressors. PSP oldTimer is so simple and is easy to use, it's difficult to make it sound bad even at extreme settings! This compressor offers soft and smooth compression in most applications, however it may slightly color the sound with its tube emulation on transients when heavily driven internally by high compression values. ...

The Avantone BV-1 Microphone is the first in a new series of high-end microphones to be released by Avant Electronics.

Kung Fu by 9 Soundware is an instrument in EXS24 format. Inspired by kung fu films of the 1970's, the drum kit emulates the quintessential sound effects used in fight scenes such as snare-like punches and kicks, swooshes, and sword sounds.

The instrument is based on 100 samples. The source sounds for the samples include synthesis, found objects, and sounds generated by air (based on samples from the Air instrument). In creating these samples, scenes from classic films were studied in great detail and its sound effects were recreated with a combination of Foley-like techniques and painstaking synth programming.

Kung Fu, which features 7 sound categories (face hit, stomach hit, swoosh, sword clang, sword draw, gong, and crash), includes 100 sounds that are mapped across an 8 octave range in an EXS24 instrument.

The 17 MB download includes 1 .EXS file and 100 WAV files (24-bit/44.1 kHz).
