Euphonix, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, has announced two new products : the MC Mix and MC control.
The Euphonix MC Control control surface combines the functionality of motorized faders, programmable knobs and buttons, and an incredible customizable touchscreen interface for maximum control over your DAW. Designed as a compact "nerve center" for your studio, the MC Control fits between your keyboard and computer monitor. Bx_hybrid is a revolutionary new 11-band EQ system that Brainworx have designed for mixing and mastering purposes. Its internal high-resolution filter algorithms and some unique and innovative features make this an "engineer's weapon". bx_hybrid is a set of 2 EQs, MONO and STERO versions of the same basic EQ concept (Mod 1.0 & Mod 2.0).
Brainworx chose the name "hybrid" for 2 reasons: although being a LEFT / RIGHT EQ the stereo version (Mod 2.0) bx_hybrid has some internal M/S features, and although being an EQ that has to be set manually it has many AUTO features that will help you finding the perfect EQ setting fast and convenient. They are already working on the concept of a surround version as well (Mod 5.1) which will not be an update but a separate product and released later. The ...

Here is the January 10th, 2008 issue of DP Corner from audioMIDI.com. A column
for tips, tricks, and other fun stuff related to Digital Performer. Written
by Tim Rumbaugh.
DP or Logic Pro 8? Why Not Both? Picking a DAW is one of the most personal
decisions a computer-based musician can make. Read through the forum for
any DAW and you'll see that most musicians are absolutely set in their ways
as a user of "the one and only DAW" and all other musicians should be whipped
a thousand times with a wet noodle for even contemplating using another.
This week Tim will look at ways to incorporate the best features of Logic
Pro 8 with DP, giving you the best of both worlds.
