Dangerous Music announces the D-Box, a multi-purpose hardware product for DAW users. Designed for the compact or mobile environment, the 1U rackmount box combines 8-channels of the Dangerous Music analog summing technology and a collection of important features garnered from other Dangerous products. The D-Box has an integrated programmable monitor control section with analog and digital inputs, on board 24-bit/96KHz D-to-A converter, talkback, dual headphone amps, speaker switcher and more.
The D-Box is scheduled to be available in Q1 2007 and it is targeted to sell for under $1400 (US).

Behringer has released the EUROPOWER PMH518M super-compact rack mountable powered mixer. This 5-channel mixer comprises 5 mic/line channels plus separate 2-track in/output channels, with mic preamps featuring switchable Pad and Clip LEDs, 2-band EQ on all channels and a 7-band graphic EQ for precise frequency correction. Speaker outputs on 1/4" jack and professional speaker connectors are compatible with Neutrik Speakon loudspeaker connectors, pumping out 180-Watts at 4ohm. FabFIlter has released two new products: FabFilter Timeless and
FabFilter Simplon. FabFilter Timeless is a stereo tape delay plug-in with
flexible feedback routing, optional time stretching, two high-quality
filters and unique drag-and-drop modulation slots. FabFilter Simplon is
a simple filter plug-in especially suitable for live performance with
the same high-quality filters. These two plug-ins are available on Mac OS X (10.3 or higher) in VST 2 and AU formats. FabFilter Timeless costs $129 and FabFilter Simplon $79. Note that demo versions are available.

Korg announces the newest member of its K-series USB-MIDI Studio Controller keyboards, the K61P. It combines powerful controller functions with 24 onboard keyboard sounds, bridging computer music and stand-alone performance needs.

Sugar Bytes has released a Universal Binary version of their 32-band vocoder plug-in Robotronic, allowing it to run on both PPC- and Intel-Macs.
