On May 21st, we anounced a major back-end update of our site MacMusic.org. Among other things, we updated our forum software adding great new features to it. It was also a new site design, a new logo… (certainly not the one we dreamed about but we will work on that later on). But the most important changes were hidden underneath the code, allowing hot new site features.
Behind all of this, our idea was to offer wider content to our growing community WITHOUT changing the efficiency and the pertinence of the forums found at MacMusic. To do that, we have simply moved our Forums to a new domain : www.440forums.com that now has its own homepage, listing the new threads category by category. The new members will surely appreciate while the MacMusicians will find very little changes when browsing the forums from MacMusic.
With the new reordering of the Forums, we have preserved the specificities of MacMusic forums in an elegant way, while opening offering new subjects using the same professional spirit, support and knowledge base. Visitors can from now on have great conversations about guitar, synths, keyboards, studio gear, building a vocal booth, or chat about their personal music and much more...

Jul 8 - 06:04 PM | Apple > Apple |
Our friends from Hardmac/Macbidouille announced a "little" change in the MacBook Pro which is of huge interest for us musicians. Apple has changed the Main Logic Board of MacBooks Pro coming from repairs and maybe in the line coming to shops now. The change affects the tension regulator (the source of noise some mac users complained a lot and for a reason), so no noise hopefully now at last. Next, this MLB change may be the sign of the future availability of Merom or Core 2 Duo CPUs in the MacBook Pro line… Great, isn't it?
This new MLB starts up with OS X 10.4.6 and higher, no more in in 10.4.5.
