Cycling'74 announces that Octirama 1.0 TDM is now shipping worldwide. Octirama is a full-featured dynamics processor for 5.1 surround mastering for the Digidesign TDM environment. Octirama incorporates four- and five-band processing for each of five channels plus sophisticated bass management for precise control of peaks and loudness. Features for each of the 5 surround channels include an input AGC, four- or five-band dynamics processor, five in-band peak limiters, band mixing, and a final peak limiter.Over 40 simultaneous meters provide detailed information on gain reduction, downward expansion, and output levels. Unlike other multi-channel dynamics processors, Octirama's processing algorithm preserves the surround image.

Octirama costs $495.

Digidesign announces an update to version 7.0cs3 for both Pro Tools LE and M-Powered softwares.

Pro Tools M-Powered 7.0cs3 contains the following:

- Fixed: Automation Playback Could Lag on the Right Side of a Stereo Track

Sony Oxford announces that updated versions are now available as download for its full range of plugins. ProTools 7 TDM Oxford EQ, Dynamics, Inflator, TransMod, Reverb and Limiter (including all Bundles) are now available for upgrade and are compatible with Pro Tools 7.

AAS announces that the AAS Modeling Collection bundle is now shipping to retailers worldwide. The collection comprises the entire AAS line of products : Tassman 4, Lounge Lizard EP-3, Ultra Analog VA-1, and String Studio VS-1

MOTU announced today that it plans to release Intel Mac compatible drivers for all of its currently shipping FireWire and USB audio and MIDI interfaces by January 31st. This means that any user of MOTU's FireWire audio, USB2 audio and USB MIDI interface products will be able to use their hardware with a new Intel iMac or MacBook Pro by simply downloading the new driver package.

MOTU is currently qualifying MOTU software products for use with the new Intel iMac and MacBook Pro.
