Yellowtools announces that its "Independence" plug-in sampler-workstation is now shipping. It includes a "Flexible Modifier" (you could load sound libraries of recorded instruments into hardware and play them with a MIDI controller, tempo sync LFOs), a Mixer with unlimited number of busses, a performance tool to "humanize" your samples (with Legato mode, 53 presets), a Mapping tool, and surround support. Independence also includes a 18 Gb sample library.

NuEdge has released a special packaging for its Sonic Charge MicroTonic. The "Tin Tonic Edition" is a metal can containing a USB flash memory used to install MicroTonic. Your personal registration code wiil be included in the USB flash memory, for quick and easy setup. Sonic Charge µTonic is a plug-in featuring a unique drum and percussion synthesizer combined with a pattern based drum-machine engine.

Tin Tonic Edition costs $129, but during December, a special introductory price is $89.

Universal Audio announces the Precision Multiband plugin. This upcoming tool is a specialized mastering plugin that provides five spectral bands of dynamic range control. Compression, Expansion or Gate can be chosen separately for each of the five bands. The flexibility and easy to follow graphical design of the Precision Multiband make it the ideal tool for the novice as well as the seasoned mastering engineer.

UAD Precision Multiband Mastering Compressor will be available soon in VST-AU-RTAS versions.

McDSP announces that new versions of the entire McDSP product line as well as the new Revolver, Revolver LE, Analog Channel LE, and Synthesizer One LE plug-ins are now optimized for Pro Tools 7 and available as download. The new Revolver plugin is also available worldwide. This high-powered convolution reverb provides total impulse response sculpt-ability, dedicated and routable EQ, two syncable delay lines, and specialized stereo imaging for unprecedented control.

The electric piano Lounge Lizard EP-3 is now available for Mac OS X. This recreation of classic electric piano sound is based on AAS's own physical modeling technology. All mechanisms used in the Lounge Lizard's hardware equivalents are precisely replicated including the hammer, tone bar, tine, and pick up. The sound is calculated in real time in accordance with the controls the program receives. This new version includes an extensive new preset library, a new high-end effect section, refined modeling of the tone and tine bars, new and improved pickup modeling, and support for micro-tuning.

The Lounge Lizard EP-3 (VST/AU/RTAS) is available at $249, and as an upgrade for existing Lounge Lizard users at $49. Users who bought or registered previous versions of Lounge Lizard after the 1st of September 2005 can upgrade free of charge.
