The following Pro Tools CS (Customer Support) releases are now available.
Please see the individual update pages for complete details. In addition to all previous fixes, Pro Tools TDM 6.9.3cs2 for Mac OS X 10.4 and Pro Tools TDM 6.9.1cs3 for Mac OS X 10.3 all contain the following fixes:

A new Konfabulator Widget helps with the conversion of Beats Per Minute to milliseconds. You tell this Widget the BPM of your song and it will provide the milliseconds for a quarter, eighth, 16th and 32nd note.
This should come in handy when mixing your music and you need to know how to set your pre-delay, auto-pan, LFO modulation, etc.

Toontrack Music released their update to the Superior software powering dfh-Superior and Superior Custom and Vintage, their drums sound libraries.
Superior 1.5, features Toontrack Percussive Compression, a revolutionary on-the-fly compression/decompression technology that helps to keep the sampler memory footprint low at no cost to playback quality.
Also available in the new update is 16 Bit playback, a feature that will minimize demand on resources even further, up to a factor 5 in combination with TPC. This will be of particular interest to performers who do not need pristine quality while tracking their parts but demand the best for their final output.

Digidesign just announced the coming of Pro Tools 7. The lucky guys at the next AES will be the happy first viewers in New York the 10/07. ProTools HD, ProTools LE and ProTools M-Powered will be available simultaneously, so good news, no 3 months wait this time for the users with the "bad" version.
Among the novelties: instruments tracks, audio and/or MIDI region grouping for easier manipulation, REX and ACID files imports (at last), new real time functions on the MIDI tracks, better management of the processors in order to have more RTAS plug-ins running simultaneously, new GUI and menus… So plenty to try and to spare.
The update will free for new buyers and upgrades made from the first of September.
