The Jack OS X team is happy to announce the release of a new version of Jack OS X, a Mac OS X implementation of the Jack Audio Connection Kit (Jack). Jack is a low-latency audio server, that connects any number of different applications to a single hardware audio device; it also allows applications to send and receive audio to and from each other. This new version includes several improvements and new features: new, more CPU-efficient CoreAudio driver, new NetJack UDP module for JackPilot, to allow for Jack audio connections over a network, various Jack Audio Router (JAR) bug fixes, new Jack VST and AU plugin design, inclusion of step-by-step illustrated examples in documentation and italian and French localization of JackPilot.

A new version 4.2.1 of CDXtract is now available. It's a maintenance release wich features :

- Lot of improvements for the Kurzweil import: Disc detection, K2600, Multi sample fix, Layer transpose, loop start inside the sample, ...
- Fixed a bug when importing big Kontakt files
- The Rex import on Mac OSX is fixed

According to strong insider sources, Apple would have discontinued Emagic's audio and midi interfaces production line (Unitor8, AMT8, MT4, A26, A62). It appears that Apple won't replace these at all... Due to our source's role, we can surely believe that this is not just a rumor but true facts!

Concerning softwares, it also seems that both Emagic WaveBurnerPro (included in Logic) and SoundDiver (probably the last free beta) will not be developed anymore. This now reduces the from now on legacy Emagic product line to Apple Logic Pro and Logic Express. That's It!
