Three new Virtual Instruments are going to be launched by famous swedish sample designer eLAB distributed by Big Fish Audio. All three feature an 8 track REX2 player plug-in for OSX (all formats including VST and AU) with a 3 gigabyte library on DVD and custom multitrack REX files. FOUNDATION will be devoted to old school hip-hop and R'nB, OBSESSION to R'nB, HipHop and Pop and PERFECTION to House productions.

With a good dose of humor the German company Adam just release it's new line of monitor under the name of ...Apple. This active monitors (50 to 80W) are shielded and have a frequency range from 52Hz to 35KHz with balanced/unbalanced connections (XLR/1/4"and RCA). They propose a new type of tweeter based on ART technology

One pair of Apple cost 1200 euros, along the line are also some passive monitors (ANF10 for 610 euros a pair).

The Absynth Audio Unit plugin is now compatible with MOTU Digital Performer. The RTAS plug-in is included. Absynth is now more reliable on some audio hardware .The crash on launch on some dual processor configurations under Panther is now fixed as many smaller bugs.
