A few weeks after the realase of Pro Tools TDM 6.2.3, the new 6.2.3 version of Pro Tools LE is available to registered Digidesign users for download. Pro Tools LE 6.2.3 software provides support for Mac OS X 10.3.2 (Panther) with Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack and Mbox, and with Power Mac G5 as well as Power Mac G4, PowerBook G4, iMac G4, iBook G4 and iBook G3.
All Digidesign and Digi-distributed plug-ins must be updated in order to work with Pro Tools LE 6.2.3. Note that a Pro Tools LE 6.2.3b1 is also available, removing the requirement for Pro Tools users to have Administrator Privileges. (This feature is already available in TDM 6.2.3.)

Eventide has released two new Pro Tools TDM Plug-Ins: Reverb and Octavox. The Reverb plug-in features four different 3-band EQs, a true post-reverb stereo delay, a pre- or post-process compressor, and tempo-based and/or MIDI Beat Clock Synchronization. Octavox sports 8 harmonization voices, 8 delays, grid notation for setting the rhythm/delay as harmonization tunings, and tempo-based and MIDI Beat Clock Synchronization.
Reverb (EUR 590 exl.vat) & Octavox (EUR 490 exl.vat) are Pro Tools TDM Mix, HD and HD Accel, Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X Panther compatible.

The Steinberg MP3 patch for Mac OS X offers unlimited MP3 export for Cubase SE and Cubase SL that have a limited MP3-encoder. The Steinberg MP3 patch for Mac OS X is now available on download on the Steinberg web site and costs EUR10 (USD 10). Ed: worth a download if you don't like the inconvenience of jumping out to another program.
