Rogue Amoeba Software is announcing the immediate availability of Detour, a new audio utility for Mac OS X. Detour provides the ability to choose the audio output device and relative volume for all of your applications. Users owning MiniDisc players will also appreciate Detour's ability to send the audio from a single application directly to the MiniDisc for recording.
A Detour 1.0 for OS X 10.2 and up is immediately available for download and purchase. Detour is $12 shareware, with an introductory price of $10 through July 31st.

The VST to AudioUnit Adapter is a plug-in wrapper that allows users of AudioUnit-compatible applications on the Mac OS X platform (Logic 6, Digital Performer 4 and others) to integrate OS X compatible VST plug-ins seamlessly in to their working environment. It has been successfully tested with Prosoniq plug ins by the manufacturer of the adapter software.

Prosoniq is now shipping OrangeVocoder 2.0 RTAS For Mac OS 8, OS 9, OS X, the new and improved Prosoniq Orange Vocoder v2.0. Orange Vocoder 2.0's analog vocoder simulation plug-in can now receive MIDI. The fastest, most flexible and most transparent-sounding simulation of an analog vocoder available as a Real-Time AudioSuite, RTAS plug-in.
New to version 2.0, Orange Vocoder's built-in synth now receives MIDI information from Pro Tools. Users can activate a plug-in within a session and Pro Tools creates a MIDI node that can be set as an output for any MIDI track in that session.

Prosoniq is now shipping version 2 of the highly acclaimed PiWarp VST Mac PlugIn. Version 2 offers support for MacOS X and fixes several issues, both graphical and DSP-related, that have been reported with earlier versions. Most significantly, parameter changes have been smoothed to reduce zipper noise when moving parameters manually or through the automation, support for the latest version of Spark and Peak have been added and some graphics glitches have been removed.
