Thanks to Jack's work (who BTW could use some help...), the Software section is getting bigger and bigger everyday (sharewares, freewares, updates, drivers...). Since this section has grown to up to 400 references in a few months period, a search engine was becoming vital. It's done.

Emagic release an OMS driver for his controller. It'll transform it (no Harry P. has nothing to do with it) into a Mackie Control and so it can control Protools, Performer, Nuendo... Under Mac OS 9 of course.

Eric Persing, creator of famous sound libraries such as Distorted Reality or Symphony of Voices, has just created a new software synthetizer.
Based on the french engine UVI (already used by the Universal Sound Bank collection), Atmosphere features a collection of various sounds (some very "ambient" alike, some more powerful) and should interest a wide range of users: ambiences, vintage synth(Yamaha CS80, Juno, Jupiter 8, Moog...), basses, strings... Atmosphere supports VST and RTAS formats.
