Do you know the software Overture for score edition ? This respected program issued on Mac since 1994. Distributed by Opcode and later bought by Cakewalk, it's now independent thanks to his creator who his now distributing through his own software company: Geniesoft.
Good news: after being in touch with their marketing service, I can assure you that Overture and it's light version, Score Writer will become compatible with Mac OSX before the beginning of summer 2003.
Easy to handle, simple and efficient that's the main characteristics of theses updates. In the meantimee you can take a look on their website and download the OS9 demos.

Apple seems to have found the noise bug of the bi-proc fans which were issued in august 2002. The exchange program of the fans started end of february and valid up to end of june 2003. The fans just start to be shipped by Apple.
If the noise is really reduced, it seems that theses macs are the last ones able to boot under OS9 for musicians.
To be seen, or mostly to be heard!

"Hello,
We have seen some issues with Midi controllers in 6.0. These issues have been addressed in 6.01 which is due out in a week or so. We have also seen some issues with recalling patch assignments. We are currently looking into the problem".

Digidesign announces plans to demonstrate a new version of Pro Tools with DigiTranslator 2.0 that supports the Advanced Authoring Format (AAF) for program interchange at the NAB show in Las Vegas April 7-10, 2003, in the Avid Technology, Inc. booth #SL300. After showing a working version of Pro Tools with AAF support at NAB, Digidesign plans to make it available to Pro Tools customers as part of the DigiTranslator 2.0 option, inside a Pro Tools release scheduled for this summer.
The Advanced Authoring Format (AAF) is a media interchange file format that enables content creators to easily exchange sequence information, digital media and metadata across platforms, and between systems and applications. AAF simplifies project management, saves time, and preserves valuable metadata that was typically lost when transferring program material between applications in the past.
