EMI 6/2M is the sister of the EMI 2/6M from Emagic. It comes with six analog audio inputs, two analog outputs at up to 24 Bit/96KHz, as well as two cinch connectors which can be configured as either a SPDIF in and output or as a MIDI in and output. There's also one adjustable headphone output and one USB hub with two ports. It should be available in one month, for 420 euros. The 2/6M price would also drop to 420 euros.

Those of you thinking Cubase was a toy, may change their mind with the new Cubase SL/SX. This fully rewritten software is based on the nuendo audio engine, and adds tons of new features. Cubase SX for OSX should be available in one month, priced at 599 euros. Cubase owners will have to spend 199-349 euros to update their current version, depending the version they own.

We have been told that an OSX version of Steinberg Nuendo should be released in three weeks.

The great sampler from Native-instruments should be available in two weeks, on the mac platform. It will be available as a stand-alone application, a VSTi plug-in and a MAS plug-in. Price around 450 euros. Native Instruments will offer a 235 euros crossgrade for all registered HALion, EXS, Gigastudio, and Unity DS-1 users. Kontakt will also be the first NI instrument ported to OSX, in a few month.

According to a Digidesign source, Protools 6 should be available in end of November, on Mac OS X. Protools LE versions would appear later.
An OS 9 version was NOT mentioned!!!
