Apple today announced it has acquired Emagic, a leading provider of professional software solutions for computer based music production. Emagic's most popular product, Logic, is actively used by over 200,000 musicians around the world. Emagic's Windows-based product offerings will be discontinued on September 30, 2002. Digidesign has announced the availability of Line 6's Amp Farm 2.0 plug-in, which adds compatibility with Pro Tools|HD systems and support for sample rates up to 96 kHz. A free update of Amp Farm 2.0 is available to owners of Pro Tools|HD systems who own the previous version of Amp Farm.
