Native Instruments announces that VOKATOR is available worldwide in stores today. Vokator is a revolutionary vocoder that defines a new standard for transparency, detail, and smoothness. It is not only an exceptional vocoder, but also a sophisticated synthesizer, a granular sampler, and a virtual sound-fusion laboratory. Vokator's high-resolution FFT spectral engine is a milestone in vocoder development. Previous vocoders used eight, sixteen, twenty, or thirty-two frequency bands at the most, Vokator's advanced engine uses 1024 bands.

Vokator is now available at music retailers at recommended retail of $299 and 289 Euro.

In addition to the 01 X (Macmusic's news on March 6th), Yamaha presents the MY8 mLan, an extension card for digital consoles.

The MY8 mLan is an E/S interface card in mLAN format (for latest version of OS X) for 01V, D24, AW4416, DME32 and PM1D.

This little wonderful gear will simply transform the 01 V to a big "Firewire" audio interface for Mac.

Antares Audio Technologies have released Tube RTAS and VST for OS X. The RTAS version requires Pro Tools 6 TDM or LE and Mac OS 10.2.3 or later. The VST version requires an OS X compatible host application that supports the VST plug-in architecture and version of OS X as required by your host. Tube RTAS and VST for OS X are free upgrades to current owners of Tube.

Pro Tools|HD compatible versions of Antares Microphone Modeler TDM and RTAS for Mac OS 9 and OS X are now available. The new versions, which support 88.2 kHz and 96kHz sampling rates on Pro Tools|HD systems, are available as upgrades to registered owners of earlier versions of Mic Modeler TDM or RTAS.
