Take 16 real analogue filters, put them into a rack with a control software in your computer and a USB connection to link it and you've got the thing.
Add the Waldorf Rot Analog Filter Step Sequencer, a pattern based step sequencer (for cutoff and resonance along dynamics).
AFB16 versions of the Waldorf PPG wave 2.V and Waldorf D-pole plugins are in developement, so there's some DSP inside too. A good alternative to a real PPG ?
It seems that Waldorf is issuing the filterbank of the Q+ in a 2U rack… As a kind of a big rackable dongle.
16 Low pass filters, 12-24 dB, with self oscillation and overdrive.
Developement kit available free from Waldorf
OS9 and OSX, USB 2.0 (with PCI card then) and 128 Mo of RAM

Celemony Software GmbH announces v2.0 of Melodyne, the next major upgrade to their great audio editing software.
New in v2.0 is the option to integrate Melodyne into existing recording environments. Based on established technologies like VST, ReWire and AudioUnits, Melodyne can be run in sync with most DAWs, and offers redirection of its output into the DAWs mixers. This removes the need to import and export audio files, considerably assisting the workflow.
Melodyne v2.0 also brings a new dimension to its unique audio features with the integration of MIDI. Both editing and mixing can be undertaken with MIDI keyboards and controllers. In addition, v2.0 can now integrate a broad range of VST-Plug Ins and AudioUnits as Insert- and Send- FX.

Eobody is an interface CV sensors to MIDI aimed to ease the use of gestual controlers or sound installations using sensors.
Eobody translate analogue signals issued by sensors into MIDI messages. These MIDI messages can be then used as parameters by a system of sound production (volume, Pan, reverb, etc.).
Design and developement:
Emmanuel Flety (IRCAM - Centre Pompidou) and Marc Sirguy (Eowave CEO)
Discover the Eobody at the NAMM Winter Show January 16 - 19 , Booth 6404, Hall A.
