Apple has launched QuickTime 6.3. This new version provides the QuickTime community with immediate access to 3GPP technology. 3GPP is the new worldwide standard for the creation, delivery and playback of multimedia over new, high-speed wireless networks. Defined by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project, this standard seeks to provide uniform delivery of rich multimedia over newly evolved, broadband mobile networks (3rd generation networks) to a new breed of multimedia-enabled wireless devices. Tailored to the unique requirements of mobile devices, 3GPP takes advantage of MPEG-4, the new standard for delivery of video and audio over the Internet.

Jam X Music, Germany's leading specialists in radio and on air design and Ableton, a Berlin-based music software company, announced the upcoming release of jamXlive.
JamXlive is a music software program based on Live. JamXmatrix is a full-blown jingle package, designed for use in the sound design of a radio station studio. But that's not all: each part of every jingle and other sound elements can be recombined in any way to create new elements any time. This is a groundbreaking approach: taking the composition and creative process into the studio of radio stations. This product will be released just in time for the German Radio Day taking place in Cologne on July 5th, 2003.
