Virtual Instrument : Spectrasonics Atmosphere - macmusicEric Persing, creator of famous sound libraries such as Distorted Reality or Symphony of Voices, has just created a new software synthetizer.
Based on the french engine UVI (already used by the Universal Sound Bank collection), Atmosphere features a collection of various sounds (some very "ambient" alike, some more powerful) and should interest a wide range of users: ambiences, vintage synth(Yamaha CS80, Juno, Jupiter 8, Moog...), basses, strings... Atmosphere supports VST and RTAS formats.

Pitch up to 64 %, vinyl touch emulation, start/stop, forward/reverse and... scratch! The package is delivered along with two vinyls used as computer interfaces and should cost about 300$.

A version of Pitch 'n Time compatible with 96k and 192k sample rates is planned for release later in 2002.
