Native Instruments has announced their intention to release what will be their first product release for Mac OS X: Traktor DJ Studio 2.0.

Traktor DJ Studio 2.0 brings professional DJ mixing to the digital domain, unifying performance, mixing, and composition. Traktor DJ Studio 2.0 integrates two playback modules for playback and mixing of MP3s, Sound Designer II and AIFF files, and AUDIO-CDs with a convenient playlist section, DJ mixer, beat matcher, digital scratcher, cue section, and high-quality filters. The innovative parametric control of the software makes it possible to record all control movements and export a mix in a dedicated file format.

This new version fixes problems related to the OMF Import/export process which is now sample accurate. Nuendo 1.6.1 is also now compatible with the Mackie control.

Version 1.3.3 adds several features and enhancements to Absynth, such as dual processor support in VST, the ability to patch modules without interrupting the sound, and compatiblity with the Absynth PC file format. In addition to several cross-platform improvements, the PC version now runs seamlessly in Sonar 2.0 and CubaseSX.

MOTU unveiled the 2408mk3, a single rack-space 96 kHz audio interface for Macintosh and Windows personal computers. This new expandable PCI card-based audio workstation represents a major upgrade to MOTU's 2408mkII interface, which the mk3 will replace at the same price ($995 for a core system, $695 for expansion I/Os). New features include 96 kHz analog and digital I/O, expansion up to 96 channels, DSP-driven mixing and monitoring, legacy I/O support, on-board SMPTE and video synchronization and software-switchable analog input levels.
