SonicBirth is a great software. It's even the favorite software of music websites editors. Indeed when news is lifeless, you can always rely on the release of an nth peliminary version of SonicBorth. And that's precisely the major problem in our little computer world : everybody wants to do software, but only a few manage to do good ones. In any case the SonicBirth concept, that is a solftware that helps you create your own plugins, was absolutely brilliant at the beginning, and the two first preliminary versions really looked enticing and we could dream of a final version.
Unluckily, the sixth preliminary version has just been released today together with its usual pack of bugfix, and dream has given way to boredom.

Jun 6 - 08:35 PM | Apple > Apple |
Steve announced today at the WWDC that Apple will start a transition again. After coming from 68k to PPC, from OS 9 to OS X, it's time to move on another processor AGAIN. And I thought we could live happy ever after now transitions were finished with Tiger at last...
Apple will release Intel based computers next year. "Our goal is to provide our customers with the best personal computers in the world, and looking ahead Intel has the strongest processor roadmap by far," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "It's been ten years since our transition to the PowerPC, and we think Intel's technology will help us create the best personal computers for the next ten years." Gimme a Power5 and we'll see! You're just killing your hardware market for a year now and what do you think the switchers will feel?
