Fabio Armani is an Italian composer born in Rome in 1958. He has a degree in Astrophysics, and studied jazz piano and composition since 1974. He composes acoustic as well as electronic instrumental music (Computer Music), at the moment he is the artistic director of the ensembles Advena Avis, TangraMinds and Terre Differenti. Fabio plays piano, keyboards, samplers and small hand percussion. He composes and arranges all the music for the three musical ensembles. From 1991 to 1998 it is project leader at IRIS (Istituto di Ricerca per l'Industria dello Spettacolo) in the field of advanced research in Computer Music and Music Technology. In 1999 he founded the independent label Different Lands to produce and promote World Fusion music and artists. This label is specialized in electronic, jazz, world and contemporary music.
